Overstimulated & Overwhelmed

We had baseball all weekend. Overnight, outside for 10 hours straight, living off hot dogs, waters, fruit snacks, and any shade we could find. And not to mention chasing a toddler around who stops for every dog, chip on the ground, and dirt mound he sees.

So let’s be honest…it’s a lot and this one took a toll.

By the time we finally get home, it’s not over.

Now it’s baseball pants that need sprayed until your hand goes numb. Laundry. Dinner. Cleaning up after dinner. Baths. Bags unpacked. Kids in bed. And somehow, Monday morning is already knocking, as if we didn’t just survive a full weekend tournament.

Like bro…I am tired.

But through the madness I’ve learned it’s okay to leave the dishes, the laundry can sit in the washer overnight - the whole house doesn’t need to be spotless before I’m able to relax. So sit down. Sit down & chill out.

Give yourself 10 minutes of quiet. No phone. No scrolling. No one needing anything from you for just a minute.

Put on a subliminal from the Healing House Journey app — Overstimulated & Overwhelmed is a good one for these moments.

Because sometimes the reset doesn’t come from doing more. Sometimes the reset comes from finally letting yourself stop.

You did enough. Now go sit down.
