When Your Body Is Trying to Tell You Something
Some weeks just feel… heavy.
The racing thoughts at night.
The tight chest.
That constant feeling of trying to keep up but never quite getting there.
I’ve realized those aren’t random.
That’s my body waving a flag. Telling me I need a minute.
Space.
Quiet.
Something that’s just mine.
And as a mom… that’s hard. Our calendars are full of everything for everyone else - practices, games, school stuff, all of it.
And honestly, I love it.
This is the life I prayed for.
But I’m learning, I can’t pour into all of that if I’m running on empty.
So instead of waiting until I feel overwhelmed, I’m starting to add me into the week too.
Nothing big -
a quiet morning,
a walk,
a yoga class,
a pedicure,
even just sitting in silence for a few minutes.
Just something that brings me back to myself.
